My name is Jonathon, and a few weeks ago you sent a large box with cd’s, dvd’s and stuff like that. I just want to thank you on behalf of the “Wolfhounds” for your generous donation. We are on a small outpost with basically just the essentials. We have to order things online and hope it gets to us, but mostly rely on family at home to send us cool stuff. Thank you once again, the guys loved having those cd’s and dvd’s. It’s been really busy here with Christmas and the more death of our soldiers. On the 6th of December we had 5 of our Soldiers die instantly at once by a bomb in the middle of the road buried. Three of those guys I knew very well. Our unit has been here for 5 ½ months now and we’ve lost a total of 11 Soldiers and countless wounded so anything to cheer us up is appreciated. We thank you once again for sending us that huge package and God bless you. You have touched our lives over here on this tiny base McHenry.
                      PFC Jonathon

Hello I got the package and thank you so much. I did not manage to get any pictures because we had 25 guys going to a very dangerous part of Iraq as in with no walls around the Post. As soon as I got the box I handed it over to them because they needed it more than my soldiers did at that moment. I do not regret my decision as an NCO to give it to a separate group of soldiers who don’t even have a dining facility to eat in. If it is possible to get more then I promise lots of pictures next time and everyone I mention you to say you need to be praised. Yes we are over here doing our jobs, but how many people are doing what you are doing? Almost none.
                      SSG Zac

I wanted to take a minute to write you a thank you note for the CDs and DVDs you sent. When the box showed up, I was definitely surprised by the quantity and quality of the contents. You hit it right on the head.
                      Captain Jim

                      YOU ROCK! (Literally)
We got your care package yesterday and the guys were in awe when we opened up the box. The assortment of music and movies were awesome! We can’t thank you enough for your support and spirit. You’ve taken a lot of initiative and combined that with your patriotism. We can’t thank you enough for getting our movie and music supply up to snuff. Listening to the same old thing everyday can get old-quick. You’ve certainly lifted our spirits and raised our morale. As the senior NCO, I thank you. You made my job a lot easier since my troops are in better spirits. We salute you-as in the movie School of Rock and in the words of AC/DC, “For those about to rock-we salute you!”
                      MSG Kevin

Thanks for the care package. I just received a big one from you. It had Christian CDs and DVDs. Thanks so much! I took about 10 of the CDs and then put the rest out on the counter for other service men to take. They are all gone so a bunch of people got what they were looking for. Well take care and again please thank you and any other volunteers for the package.
                      CPT Spencer

We received your box of DVDs and CDs. Thank you very much. I put them out for the soldiers and almost all are gone within 3 days. Your support for us is greatly appreciated-words cannot describe our thankfulness.
                      Chaplain (MAJ) Charles

Sorry to take so long in response to your generosity. However, I wanted to personally thank you on behalf of my soldiers. My guys really appreciate you taking time to send these CDs and DVDs.
                      Chaplain (CPT) Jim

On behalf of soldiers of the 1-502 Infantry Regiment, Air Assault Division I thank you for the package you’ve sent. I received it 6 August 2008. It was like Christmas already for me but especially for the other soldiers. CDs and DVDs are both “hot commodities” here so it was spectacular most valuable gifts. All the CDs and DVDs will be put to good use and will all be enjoyed by all. The blend of titles are fantastic, there is a song/album and movies to satistfy everyone’s taste. Some of the CDs and DVDs are hard to find nowadays so it is quite a treat!
                      SGT Fernandez

On behalf of Area Support Group-Kuwait, I would like to thank you for your coordination and efforts in sending CDs and DVDs to the men and women of the US Armed Forces in Kuwait. It is a challenge for Commanders to find ways to bring a little bit of home forward to deployed locations. Your personal commitment and the spirit of giving you have faithfully demonstrated make that challenge a little easier to overcome. Dozens of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines have benefitted from your generosity. Please accept our heartfelt thank you for all you have done and for reaching out and brining a little of home forward to those bravely serving overseas. Keep up the great work and the great website. You are an inspiration to all.
                      Colonel Hoffman

It is fitting that, on behalf of the Commander and members of the Joint Special Operations Task Force, I finally have the opportunity to sit down and write to our most ardent supporters, Tunes 4 the Troops, on our national holiday, Memorial Day. It is the only full day we will take off between Christmas and Thanksgiving this year. Please accept our sincere and deepest regrets for the tardiness of this letter of appreciation but we have been most busy here in Africa. Although I am not at liberty to discuss our missions in detail, we provide humanitarian crisis response, special reconnaissance, counter terrorism, foreign internal defense, unconventional warfare, and direct action as force multipliers. We are most grateful to you for all the support, goodwill and prayers you have given us by watching over our shoulders as our personal angel. Your gift of music and movies every month pleases everyone.
                      MSG John

I want to thank you and your organization very much for your donation of music and DVDs to the Griffin Team here in Mosul, Iraq. We are not in a U.S. compound. We live and work in an Iraq: Army Compound and don’t have the luxurious accommodations other troops have. These will help morale tremendously. Thanks again for thinking about us.
                      Lieutenant Colonel Bob

I just wanted to let you know that the CDs/DVDs that your organization sent arrived safely, and are greatly appreciated. When I received them, I took them to our USO Wounded Warrior Center where they were given out to the Soldiers from our Medical Transient Detachment (MTD). The MTD is part of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC), where Wounded Warriors receiving extended medical care are housed while they work through their healing process. The USO Wounded Warrior Center is provided for these Warriors. The state-of the-art, 2,400 square foot Center features a cozy lounge area with sofas, chairs and a 50” plasma television with DVD player. Refreshments and snacks offer a touch of home to service members watching sporting events and movies. A separate bistro seating area provides a comfortable setting for friends to meet, relax, ready, play board games, or use a laptop via the free Wi-Fi available throughout the Center. There is a room for video conferencing calls, so that GIs can keep in touch with family back home. The Center’s Video Gaming Room includes a five-station Xbox 360, wall-mounted LCD televisions, and all the latest video games. Multiple high-speed Internet lines allow gamers in the room to compete with each other as well as with other gamers worldwide. The center’s Mulit-purpose room features a Nintendo Wii gaming system, a 46” wall-mounted LCD television and a web camera. There’s even an outdoor patio, which will allow service members to enjoy nice weather and barbecues during the summer months. The USO wounded Warrior Center gives these Heroes a place to relax and be appreciated, but it is the recognition by people and organizations like Tunes 4 the Troops that really show these Warriors that the American public  cares, and hasn’t forgotten about them.
                      SFC Michael

My name is SFC Devin and I wanted to say thank you very much for the “Tunes 4 the Troops” package I received here in Iraq. It was a real morale booster as we were winding down this deployment. The guys I work with really enjoyed the wide selection of music and movies. As I near the end of this deployment I plan on handing off the music/DVD’s to the incoming unit. They will be able to enjoy them as much as we did.
                      SFC Kevin

I just wanted to say thanks for all of the CD’s and DVD’s everyone has donated to my platoon. The Marines and myself loved them. We have no phone or computer here so our entertainment is one small DVD portable player and our IPOD’S. Some Marines have personal computers so they can watch and listen to both CD’s and DVD’s. Any way, we for sure have entertainment now, thanks to your organization and the people who support it. Since you took the time and effort to donate to us I wanted to take the time to write back and say THANKS.
                      SSGT Daniel

Thank you for the box of DVD’s and CD’s. You know that you have been deployed way to long when you have 20 guys with guns, sitting in the dark, around a computer, and all watching Legally Blonde. I didn’t realize how strange that probably is until our Commander came in and laughed at us. Thanks for taking the time out of your life to do something like this. We are at a small camp in Northern Afghanistan. We don’t get a lot of support out here because of the terrain. All of our missions are on foot and resupplies by helo. Thanks again for your support and good luck with everything you do.
                      SSG Eddie

My name is Roger, and I am a Staff Sergeant in the 601st Aviation Support Battalion out of Ft. Riley, Kansas. We were greatly honored to receive the wonderful package from your organization. Great Americans like you make the sacrifice we endure well worth it! Thank you for making time for all of us in your busy schedule. All the cd’s and dvd’s that you contributed will do great things for building morale in our unit.
                      SSG Roger

Thank you so much for the CDs and DVD’s that you sent. Speaking on behalf of all the 101st soldiers, “Thank you.” The CDs and DVDs helps us to remember what we’re fighting for. May God continue to bless you for what you are doing.
                      SGT, Chaplain Asst.

Thank you very much for your generous support of the 961st Engineer Company. Your kind gifts add a little touch of home for our soldiers here in Iraq. It warms the heart to know that there are soldiers here in Iraq. It warms the heart to know that there are Americans that will make the extra effort to support troops deployed overseas. Again, thank you very much for your generosity and we appreciate your support very much.
Captain Hilding and Staff Sergeant Clifford

Thank you for the great package of CD’s and DVD’s. I can’t tell you how much it helps the morale of the guys working the flight line and all the areas with the Afghans. As we get closer to the Afghanistan national elections we are tightening security and this stresses everyone. Having a CD or DVD to take your mind away from the daily worries is absolutely great. Thank you for remembering all that are serving overseas and you are certainly making a positive impact on our lives. Thank you!
